Anna-Mart Kruger

Namibia

Anna-Mart Kruger captured this image while on a game drive at Zimaga Private Game Reserve. Once they had spotted the White Rhino mother and calf, they approached slowly on foot (with the safari vehicle close by!). As the rhinos were moving, the dust was kicked up, and caught in the fading sunlight, prompting Anna-Mart to caption the photo "Dusty Sunset". Anna-Mart walks away with the quarterly prize of the Swarovski CL Pocket 10x25 Binoculars, valued at $800.

Alistair Swartz
South Africa

After noticing an elephant charging a tree in the distance, Alistair and his group waited for a few minute until the elephant had moved off. It was then that they saw this tiny leopard cub peering out of the hollowed out branch.

Hanspeter Lang
Switzerland

An unlikey encounter between giants - Hanspeter manage to capture this image while on a game drive at Aquila Private Game Reserve.

Simon Smith
South Africa

From the Bhejane hide in Imfolozi Game reserve, I spent some time patiently watching herds of elephant come and go from the waterhole. This allowed me to get close to these magnificent animals with minimal disturbance. After a careless splash of mud across its body, this youngster looked directly at me, allowing me to capture this head-on image.

Wrensch Lombard
South Africa

“We were lucky enough to see this young white rhino and his mom trotting through the brush. A slow shutter and steady hands made a sharp pan.” Taken in the Kruger National Park
